Buxton Opera House in The Square, Buxton, Derbyshire, England, is a 902-seat opera house. It hosts the annual Buxton Festival and the International Gilbert and Sullivan Festival, among others, as well as pantomime at Christmas, musicals and other entertainments year-round.
Poole’s Cavern or Poole’s Hole is a two-million-year-old natural limestone cave on the edge of Buxton in the Peak District, in the county of Derbyshire, England. Poole’s Cavern forms part of the Wye system, and has been designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest.
Speedwell Cavern is one of the four show caves in Castleton, Derbyshire, England. The cave system consists of a horizontal lead miners’ adit 200 metres below ground leading to the cavern itself, a limestone cave
Gulliver’s Kingdom is a theme park aimed at children aged 3-13 in the Derbyshire village of Matlock Bath, England. The park was founded in 1978 by Ray and Hilary Phillips as a model village, before later expanding to include a small train and some second hand rides.

Chee Dale is a steep-sided gorge on the River Wye near Buxton, Derbyshire, in the Peak District of England. The Wye valley continues upstream towards Buxton as Wye Dale, while downstream are Miller’s Dale village and valley. Chee Dale has a protected nature reserve, which is overseen by the Derbyshire Wildlife Trust
Impressive gritstone edges and craggy rocks loved by walkers and climbers. It groups together two main gritstone outcrops, ‘Ramshaw Rocks’ famous for the ‘Winking Man’ rock formation and ‘Hen Cloud’ offering stunning panoramic views.
Close to the Roaches in Leek and through Staffordshire’s Back Forest, is Lud’s Church. An 18 metre deep chasm created in the Roaches’ gritstone caused by a giant landslip, which over the ages has been covered from top to bottom in vibrant moss.
Thor’s Cave is popular with visitors and the views out into the valley are spectacular, but great care should be taken in exploring. The cave entrance itself is only accessible on foot, on routes that are very steep and can be slippery.

We are a new pizzeria in Buxton that offers authentic pizza, made by hand and with heart, passion and time. We use only the best ingredients, simple and fresh, both imported from Italy and locally sourced here in the Peak District. We nurture our dough for over 48 hours to create an airy, light, easy digestible crust. The result, is a traditional Neapolitan style pizza prepared in front of you and fired in an authentic Italian brick oven. We are proud to propose a real pizza, with a real atmosphere.

The Blind Bull, Little Hucklow’s youngest independent pub with a long history. We’re situated in the heart of the stunning Peak District and inhabit the site of Britain’s fifth oldest public house.
